Phase 3 – Pull-ups – Doorway pull-up bars can be purchased for about $30 or $20 for the cheaper of the two found in most department stores.  If you are overweight chances are you can’t do one pull-up, I couldn’t.  But you can do rows with a suspension strap trainer like the Jam Gym.  Suspension exercises it gets easier when you need it to get easier at the end of the rep.  Also, you can tie the suspension straps along with a doorway pull-up bar and put a foot in the handle and help yourself up and be your own spotter.  A chair or stool can also be used but the best form will come is you take your suspension trainer and hook it up and adjust it to the pull-up bar.  Just make sure that you don’t use both straps for both legs as I made this mistake and almost broke my neck.
